Emergency and Urgent Care

Driggs Veterinary Clinic recognizes how hard it can be to find urgent or emergent care in Teton Valley and outlying areas. We do our best to accomodate patients who need urgent or emergent visits.

We understand how hard it is to find emergency veterinary care after-hours. Driggs Veterinary Clinic offers a telehealth emergency service utilizing Vet Triage. Vet Triage will have a licensed veterinarian assess your pet and give advice on what to do until your pet can be seen at the clinic, or they may advise you to seek emergent care and refer you to the vet on call. After Business Hours

During business hours, we are happy to offer “drop-off” appointments for urgent or emergent situations. We do our best to assist all patients that need our help, but we are limited by our daily staffing, space, and time.

“Drop-Off” appointments consist of you leaving your pet in our care for a portion of the day while our veterinary team work them in between scheduled appointments. For urgent and emergent visits, Drop-Off appointments allow us to run crucial diagnostics and develop a treatment plan for your pet without having to wait for an available scheduled appointment.

We know how stressful it can be to leave your pet behind with us, but please rest assured that our team does everything possible to make sure they are comfortable, happy, and on the road to recovery. Your pet’s health is our priority and it is our goal to help.

We do not have an exotics specialist on staff, but we try our best to help with the needs of your exotic companions. We typically see “pocket pets”, which include rabbits, hamsters, guinea pigs, gerbils, and rats. We are happy to evaluate your birds and reptiles and direct you to more advanced care if needed.

Please know that we are limited in regards to medications and diagnostics that are safe for many exotic species. We do have some bloodwork and imaging capabilities, but are not able to perform extensive diagnostics.

If your reptile or bird is experiencing an emergency, please call us at (208) 354-2212 so we can assess whether we can help your pet or if you need referral to a more specialized clinic.
